Pete Smith, President, is actively involved
in every client engagement.

Pete has over 35 years of consulting experience. As a consultant at Watson Wyatt Worldwide (now Towers Watson), he consulted on executive compensation with a wide variety of clients, ranging from high tech start-ups to leading nonprofits to some of the world's largest global corporations. Eventually named President and Chief Executive Officer and Board Chair of Watson Wyatt, he led the firm through a significant restructuring and global expansion before retiring in 2000.

Following his retirement from Watson Wyatt, Mr. Smith served as President of the Private Sector Council (PSC), a Washington nonprofit focused on improving the business of government. In 2004, he merged PSC into the Partnership for Public Service and created Smith Compensation Consulting to help nonprofits deal with compensation issues.

Caitlin Webber, Research Associate

Caitlin Webber graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Sweet Briar College in 2004 with degrees in Government and Spanish. The following year she earned her Master of Science in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics with Merit honors. Caitlin was formerly a journalist covering foreign policy for Congressional Quarterly and now works in international government affairs.

Caitlin is on the Leadership Council of Streetwise Partners in Washington, D.C. and a member of the Sweet Briar College Alumnae Advisory Council.
